(WTNH)–On tonight’s “Nyberg,” Ann speaks to a a poet from Bridgeport. Custodio Gomes, who’s originally from West Africa, writes to inspire others. His parents struggled to bring the family to America to live a better life and to get an education, and he has never forgotten that.
Gomes is passing on to others the lessons he learned.
“I think a lot of young men and young ladies in our generation lack a little inspiration, so I try to give to them a little bit of the experience of what I’ve been through,” he said. “So that they can kind of understand that they have a gift and the world needs to hear it.”
