(WTNH) — To say that Gorman Bechard of Hamden, Connecticut is prolific is an understatement. He is a novelist, screenwriter, director and filmmaker. His latest film, a documentary is called “Pizza, A Love Story.” Shot in New Haven, the pizza capitol of the world, he chronicles the big three; Sally’s, Pepe’s, and Modern.
“There are only three pizza places in the world that matter. All are located only blocks apart in New Haven, CT.”
The documentary shows the history of pizza from it’s very beginnings in Italy and how the Sargent Lock company started bringing people over from the area of Naples.
“Pizza, A Love Story” will premiere at a film festival at Yale University in the summer of 2016.
