(WTNH)–On this edition of “Nyberg,” Senator Chris Murphy, the junior senator from Connecticut, discusses gun control, mental health, the lack of consensus in Congress, and much more. News 8’s Ann Nyberg also asked him about the state of the world right now in a time of terrorism.
Murphy says the U.S. is as prepared for an attack as it can be.
“I think I can say with confidence that we’re as ready as we can be,” he said. “This country has a better ability to track who’s coming in, track them once they’re here, if we think they pose a danger to us, than any other country in the world. If any country is going to be ready to protect ourselves, it’s the United States.”
