(WTNH) — We hear it everyday, attention spans are short, keep stories shorts and videos, too. A 28-year-old from India wanted to keep young people informed about the world around them and has figured out a way to do that with his news app called “ZOLT.”

Rush Sadiwala from Bombay is aggregating news stories, boiling them down to 60 words so that you get a bit more of the story than you do on Twitter, which is just 140 characters and voila, you have a modern-day newspaper.

“What we do essentially at ZOLT is we read the stories for you and give you 60-word summaries of the news, with the option to go down and read the full article if you want. A new feature we introduced a few days ago called shush, and what shush is it gives our users the ability to block certain people or events from their news feeds,” said Sadiwala.

People like Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump and the Kardashians.

“Just Kim Kardashian for now, but we’ll probably be adding a few more Kardashians to that list,” he said.

A little humor there. Of all of his users, 89 percent blocked Kim Kardashian.

Sadiwala feels a strong need to give back, so that when you download the free news app ZOLT, there is a place to donate a book to a needy child in the world.
