HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A married couple in Connecticut decided to leave their corporate jobs and go into the line of spirits.

Tom and Lelania Dubay’s mission was to jump into the cocktail culture with an organic product. Their ingredients come from local and regional farms. The Hartford Flavor Company was launched in 2015 and it can already be found in 450 locations in between package stores and restaurants and bars.

Their business, where they produce the liqueurs, is in a 100-year-old refurbished building in the Parkville section of Hartford, where the first pay telephones were once made.

“We have cucumber, rose, lavender, birch, chai spice and cranberry is our seasonal. All natural. There’s no chemicals of any kind, no artificial flavors, no chemical suspenders, so most alcohol has a suspender in it and I chose to not put those in on purpose because I wanted a natural product, so all of the ingredients are as organic as I can make them,” said Dubay.

You can find out all about the company and go for tastings here.
