(WTNH)–One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. That’s the case with Daniel Lanzilotta, who has mounted a campaign to make art out of plastic, and other items that float ashore anywhere is around the world.
He calls himself a ‘plastician.’ He has collected a lot of plastic garbage, and he makes art out of it. His saying is, “Garbage in, art out.”
“I’m trying to get people to understand what their use of plastic is, and use of waste,” Lanzilotta said. “There’s no away, when you put your grabage out, it doesn’t go away. It’s just been displaced somewhere else.”
Lanzilotta says I-95 is his ocean, and he’s out when he can be, safely picking up plastic off the side of the major highway. You’ll never think of plastic the same way again.
