(WTNH)–There is a dress shirt on the market that is made in Massachusetts, and the brains behind “Tuckerman and Company” are a husband and wife. After a successful Kickstarter campaign last year which raised about $30,000, and after two Yale School of Management degrees, Amanda Rinderle and her husband Jonas Clark went to work. And what a process it was. Their organic contain fabric is weaved in Italy, but the craftsmanship is in New England.
“To find organic cotton, fine woven fabrics that we use, we called almost 400 mills around the world,” said Amanda. “It was just shoe leather, we just picked up the phone and fired off emails, mostly Jonas. That was a couple of long months, and out of that we had four people get back to us.”
