(WTNH) — In this day and age, we’re all taking photos because our smartphone is always at the ready, but if you’d like to get better at taking those shots, look no further then Chelsea and Tony Northrup, a married couple from Waterford.
They’re professional photographers and you can catch them any time of the day or night on their YouTube channel. They broadcast live from their basement and have thousands watching around the world.
Here are some tips from them on what cameras to buy.
“This is a Samsung and it’s under $200, it’s about $165. This camera is a step up from your smart phone and I know a lot of people use their smartphones and I think smartphones are great, but they can limit you in so many ways. They don’t take great portraits and they don’t have as good of dynamic range which means the light won’t look as good.”
“This is the Olympus EM10 and it’s one of our favorite cameras, you can pick up a kit with a lens for about $450, but the biggest trick here is that the lens will come off and you can put on a different lens.”
“This is a Polaroid camera and you’d be amazed because our kids have iPhones, iPads, they have so much technology and then you show them a Polaroid camera and it blows their minds that they can get a picture right away.”
