(WTNH) — Before you know it, the holidays will be here.
A Connecticut photographer has just the right thing to put on your gift list: A beautiful coffee table read called, A Connecticut Christmas.
Caryn B. Davis of Chester spent two years running around the state during Christmastime to capture just the right images. The book has some 400 images for you to see.
“I went to 40 towns and about 62 locations by myself, just pulling over, me and my GPS and my tripod,” explained Davis. “I have a Canon 5D Mark III and I learned a lot because I had no time to light anything, including the interiors, so the first year was a little clunkier and the second year I really felt like I had it down on how to get what I wanted without and doing lighting and I did multiple exposures and blended in Photoshop. But even my composition. I saw how my eye changed from one year to the next because, sometimes, one year I did 35 shoots in 28 days and sometimes three to four a day. I had to just keep going and going ’cause the window was so short.”
Christmastime in Connecticut is the stuff of movies.
